Come along to the annual combined Keith and Sherwood crop walk on the 16th of October! We have a great line up of speakers discussing local trials and important issues in the area.
Amanda Pearce (SARDI) will be on hand to cover the GRDC-SARDI strategic partnership rotation site, MFMG and SARDI trials on cereal varieties, innovative frost management techniques, and forage and pasture mixes for grazing. We will visit the NVT site, managed by Kalyx trials where Darcy Moore (Kalyx) will talk about the trials and recently released varieties. Chris Preston (University of Adelaide), Penny Roberts and Alan McKay (SARDI) will update you on the latest in weed and ryegrass management, Rhizoctonia root disease and intercropping trials, as well as the GRDC-SARDI Southern Pulse Agronomy trials.
Mel Fraser (Rural Solutions) and Felicity Turner (MFMG) will give an update on MacKillop’s own ryegrass capture at harvest project, sandy soil research and soil moisture probes. MFMG Silver Sponsor AGT will provide some handy insight into their new varieties entering the market this season.
