A Better Farm Business by Your Design
An opportunity for Limestone Coast Farmers to learn how to build their profitability
Following the success of the Limestone Coast Red Meat Cluster’s first financial management program earlier this year, the MacKillop Farm Management Group and the Limestone Coast Red Meat Cluster are set to deliver more workshops, this time with a focus on mixed farming enterprises in the Limestone Coast.
‘A Better Farm Business by Your Design’ will help you to understand your current business health, identify your profit drivers, and benefit from coaching/mentoring with producers who have already made changes and improved their business profitability.
The program includes two and a half days of interactive training, mentoring, benchmarking and the opportunity to work with your own business figures and it will again be presented by experienced farm business management consultant and trainer Chris Scheid of ProAdvice.
Limestone Coast red meat and cropping producers who are the decision makers in their business, are urged to apply. If you are looking to grow or make positive changes then you will benefit from the program to be held over three sessions;
Wednesday 14 September 9am – 5pm
Thursday 29 September 9am – 5pm
Wednesday 19 October OR Thursday 20 October (to be confirmed with participants)
To get the most out of the program, ideally you’ll have:
- a mixed farm business
- annual farm turnover (gross income) of more than about $200,000
Registration is essential and places are limited.
Participants will be selected by the Project Managers and will need to fill out an Expression of Interest form
There will be a cost of $250 per business to participate in the program.
You’ll also need to commit three days to attend the three workshops, and time between workshops to review your numbers and prepare for the next session. This commitment will ensure you maximise your benefits of participating.
